The mighty sycamore. Symbol of several sports groups in my area of Indiana. This one is growing near the road off of busy 41 in Parke County. I actually stopped to take some reference photos of some old vehicles abandoned in the field across the way from it, and turned around to leave...voila! There it proudly stood. Mesmerized, I walked around it to assess the best angle to paint. I painted it, instead.
This painting won first place in Wabash Valley Art Guild's 2023 Spring Show and sold quickly.
