Leaf Prints on Handmade Paper w Envelopes

Typical leaves to be found in the park.  I used my Sizzix to press the leaves onto the paper.  I had soaked the paper in water with a bit of alum powder added to help the imprint to be permanent.  After pressing, the imprint wasn't very visible...until I put the paper into a shallow pan which had a few inches of homemade iron mordant water in it and the image popped into view!  Then I ran it under some tap water to rinse the vinegar off from the mordant, blotted it, and after several minutes ironed the damp paper to set it and help it to stay flat.  Wow, interesting process!

BTW, these 5 thick white imperial cards and envelopes are handmade by Twinrocker Handmade Paper in Brookston, Indiana.
